How it works

Staff augmentation is the simplest thing we do: you have a role you cannot fill locally in a reasonable time, we place a vetted engineer into it, and they work as part of your team under your technical direction. You keep the roadmap, the code review standard and the decisions. We keep the employment, the payroll, the replacement risk and the bench behind the engineer.

It is the fastest way to add capacity and the most honest about what it is. There is no transformation narrative here — it is people, at a published rate, starting in days rather than months.

Where the work is a defined deliverable with an end date, a fixed-scope project is cheaper for you and we will recommend it instead. Where you need a team rather than a person, a dedicated pod carries less management load than four separate augmented engineers.

Choosing the right model

When another model fits better

Do not buy staff augmentation if you cannot give the engineer a technical lead, a code review process and a ticket queue. Augmentation amplifies an existing engineering function; it cannot replace one. If you have no in-house engineering leadership, buy a project or a pod with our own lead instead.

Every engagement model here is priced on the rates page, so you can compare the options rather than take our word for which one fits.

All-inclusive and indicative, shown so you can compare us against a local hire. Monthly figures assume 160 hours a month and the same for the day-rate markets, so the two always reconcile. Engagements are contracted as a monthly capacity fee or a fixed-scope deliverable, with our own delivery lead accountable for the outcome — see engagement models. There is no setup fee, no recruitment fee and no management surcharge.

Questions

IT staff augmentation

How is this different from hiring a contractor?
You get a bench and a replacement guarantee behind the person. An individual contractor who leaves takes the role back to zero; here the shortlist is already screened and the handover is ours to manage.
Who manages the engineer day to day?
Your lead does, on technical work. We handle employment, performance, leave, equipment and escalation — and we check in weekly so problems reach us before they reach your retro.
Can we hire them permanently later?
Yes. After twelve months there is no conversion fee. Before that there is a declining fee set out in the agreement, and we will tell you the number before you ask.
What hours will they work?
The shift that covers your day — 12:30–21:30 IST for US and UK teams, 06:00–15:00 IST for Australia. The overlap window is in the contract, not a best-efforts promise.

Other ways to work with us

  • Dedicated development team

A squad with its own lead, bought as monthly capacity rather than as a row of hourly timesheets.

  • IT outsourcing

Hand over a function — maintenance, QA, cloud operations, support — with the service level written down.

  • Contract staffing

Fixed-term engineers for work with a known end date, with the employment risk on our side.
